Great Summer Drinks! Black Fly Beverages – Review

bestdayblogger top

I was kindly contacted to try Black Fly Beverages. I received Vodka Sour Raspberry and Gin Tom Collins. I agreed because I like fruity drinks and wanted to check out the flavours and quality of the product. I’m not a huge drinker but I always like to have a nice summer fruity alcoholic beverage and I wanted to try these out. These are great for parties! There is so much in a bottle and so many flavours. The website is incredible. Have you checked out the website?

About Black Fly:
Founded in 2005 by husband and wife Rob Kelly and Cathy Siskind-Kelly, London, Ont.-based Black Fly Beverage Company is a Canadian success story in the competitive world of beverage alcohol. Like the iconic insect after which the company is named, Black Fly continues to take a chunk out of the Canadian ready-to-drink and spirits market. Ten years after receiving the first distillery licence awarded in Ontario in 100 years, Black Fly Beverage company has defied the odds of an Ontario start up taking market share from the world’s biggest global brands. Having already captured 6% of the LCBO’s 240 million dollar ready-to-drink (RTD) market, and expanding distribution to nine Canadian provinces, three territories and four U.S. states, today Black Fly continues to innovate. In an industry dominated by global companies, Black Fly offers quality Canadian spirit beverages in unique bottles and green packaging. In addition to its line of more than 13 mixed spirit drinks, Black Fly is entering the spirits market with its first offering — bob’s SUPER SMOOTH™ Vodka.
This is black fly, Gin Tom Collins. If you like lemon you will definitely like this. It has a citrus/lemon flavour. I’m not a fan of this flavour as much as I am of the Vodka Sour Raspberry. I also like to have mine in a glass. Is that strange? I always like to top my drinks with something fresh like lemon, lime or even berries.

I also tried the Vodka Sour Raspberry and I love it. If you are a raspberry lover you will enjoy this drink. I always add fresh fruit to my drinks. Sometimes I add raspberries and strawberries too. There is a lot in one bottle and you can use them for entertaining.
“At 400mL Black Fly bottles offer approximately 20% more volume that 330mL bottles. That’s two extra bottles per case of 24! Great for entertaining, one bottle poured into a cocktail glass serves 2-3 drinks! Our custom designed bottles are lightweight, non-breakable, BPA free, recyclable and re-sealable PET1 bottles that are quick to chill, convenient to enjoy straight from the bottle. Fans of the Fly love that ice cubes fit right through the wide mouth tops.” BlackFlyBooze.com

Overall I really like black fly beverages and I want to try the Long Island iced tea, Rum Punch and Vodka Sour grape. They taste really fruity and not too sweet. I don’t like drinks that are too sweet. Some great ideas with these are that you can make popsicles for adults and also freeze them into ice and add the ice to the drinks.

“Low sweetness, pure juices and a soft champagne bubble make Black Fly highly refreshing drinks that can be enjoyed all year round. Serve ice cold in the non-breakable bottles, enjoy the convenience of Black Fly’s 473 mL cans, or pour on the rocks as ready-to-serve drinks . Dress up your Black Fly with beautiful glassware and one of our many cocktails: Black Fly Mimosas, Martinits, Frozen Margaritas, Warm Spiced Rum Mulled Cider Impress your guests with creative cocktails, and spend your party enjoying the party.” – Black Fly Booze
