Diwali

Diwali is one of the biggest festival of Hindus, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness in India. The festival is celebrated for five continuous days, where the third days is celebrated as the main Diwali festival or ‘Festival of lights’. Different colorful varieties of fireworks are always associated with this festival. On this auspicious day, people light up diyas and candles all around their house. They perform Laxmi Puja in the evening and seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. The festival of Diwali is never complete without exchange of gifts. People send for diwali to their near and dear ones. -Diwalifestival.org

I’m very excited to share with you today the M∙A∙C Diwali Light Festival  eyeshadow palette. Available online now and Available in-store October 6 through November 17, 2016.

Look radiant during Diwali with an exquisite limited-edition Eye Shadow x 9 palette. In honour of the joyful holiday, this palette features gleaming hues of gold, red and blue inspired by the flicker of flames and fireworks.  -MAC

I’m very excited to share this palette with you. I love all the colours and the box that it came in. Thank you so much to MAC for sending this to me. It is absolutely stunning. The Colours in the Diwali Light Festival palette are beautiful and I feel they truly capture the essence of the Festival.

83I have swatches of each shadow and the last three on the palette are not as bold and pigmented as I wanted them to be. I wanted them to be very strong, bold and bright. As you can see in the swatches and in the video (COMING SOON) it was hard to pick up the pigment in the last three colours.

I swatched with my finger and also used a brush to test out the product and still the pigmentation is not as bright and bold in the last three. I found that the last three work AMAZING when you wet the brush and apply the product. Also if you apply it wet and let it dry and apply on top of it again it will be brighter and bolder. The colours HUMID and DEEP TRUTH look so beautiful when applied wet.

You can’t really see the colour RICE PAPER in the photo but let me tell you it is the most beautiful light colour and it has a beautiful shine. In the video (coming soon)  you can see the shimmer.

Overall I adore the palette excluding the lack of pigmentation of the last three. I’m happy to tell you they do work amazing when you wet them.

Next I have one eyeshadow from the SPELLBINDER Collection.

This is one attraction that’s impossible to resist. M∙A∙C Spellbinder Shadow creates mesmerizing eyes with the deepest, most mysterious shades, clinging to lids like pure velvet. Black, ionized pigments are magnetically charged, fusing the loose powder together so it magically maintains its form and dimension. Hexing hues pull you in, casting their spell in blackened emerald, cobalt and teal, as the metallic finish captivates all that crosses its path. -MAC

The colour that I kindly received is Mysterious Influence which is a rich olive golden green.

I really adore the texture and feel of this product. It is soft, smooth and silky. It is very  pigmented and I adore it!

The top swatch is blended out and the bottom swatch is not. I only swatched one time.  Very beautiful and pigmentation is incredible. I love this olive colour. So stunning!107

I absolutely adore the Spellbinder shadow and I would totally recommend buying this and the collection. It applies so beautifully and the pigmentation is wonderful but what I love is how the light reflects off the formula. So beautiful and majestic! I’m madly in love with the formula and pigmentation. The way the light reflects off of this eyeshadow is beautiful! I love it!

    1. Shannon spellbinder eyeshadow is amazing. I’m making a video on Tuesday And you will be able to see it close up and in action. The Diwali palette is beautiful and you don’t have to use a lot of colour on the eyelid. You can actually blend the lighter colour with a colourful one and tone it down. I’m going to show you an example in the video. Thanks so much. 🙂

    1. Thanks Ingrid. I really love the other colours. I wore them today. They are beautiful especially the second row. The last row works amazing when it’s wet. Overall I really like the palette but I like to be hornets about the pigmentation and the last three as you can see in the swatches are not that bold. I’m making a video on Tuesday. You will be able to see it better. 🙂 thanks Ingrid and Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️
