Linking up with Paint Party Friday! Check out all the lovely artists!
Happy Friday! Hope you all had a lovely week. I’ve been stressing a little this week. My father will be staying with me permanently and I’m going to be taking care of him. It’s a bit stressful because I have both my girls at home doing online learning so I hope things will flow nicely. Fingers crossed. I’m sure it will be fine but I’m stressed and worried. My father is old and Can’t see very well. I also don’t want to see him grow older. My heart is so sensitive at the moment. I will do the best I can for my family. That’s all I can do. Take it one day at a time. I pray for God to keep everyone safe and healthy at this point. Each moment is a gift.
I’m going to be honest and tell you that I’ve already watched two Christmas movies. 😁 I’ve been so stressed that the only thing that has helped is the good spirit of Christmas. I watched “Love the Coopers” and “Christmas with the Kranks”
In the beginning of the week I took the girls for a little walk behind our home and we picked some leaves.
I then had my girls use crayons and do leaf rubbings. They had a lot of fun. My 8 year old set this picture up for the photo. She likes to be creative.
My daughter is studying plants in class and she grew these carrots. I find it so amazing how you can grow things in your own kitchen. Isn’t it fantastic? The possibilities are endless when growing plants.
It’s so nice to go outdoors and play in nature. We need to do it more often. We are stuck indoors doing school and on digital things too much. I’m going to try to get them out more often.
I also made one watercolour painting this week.
I’ve been reading “The Graveyard Book” by Neil Gaiman. So far I love it.
I hope you had a lovely week and I also hope you have a fabulous weekend. Be safe and much love and positivity. Thank you so much for reading my post today and thank you for your lovely comments. Take good care.
Beautiful photos and lovely art. I am glad to hear that your daughter is learning how to grow from store bought food.

I love your leafs, both real and the drawings. Seems the girls had a lot of fun. Never thought of doing that but might try it.
Your landscape is beautiful as well.

Lovely pictures and watercolor! 🙂
I have also had to take steps to care for my father more this year. Twice I have had to send him to hospital. Once for Covid which made it through and the second for a bad UTI that caused him to hallucinate. Actually both times he was out of sorts for the first week in the hospital and could not remember why he was there. Every day he would ask me why and when he got there. I couldn’t visit because of covid and could only call. It is hard watching them deteriorate. I wish you the best. Just know you are not alone. ❤

Oh goodness! Situations are so hard and difficult during this COVID thing. Sorry you had to go through all that. Life has so many challenges. We need to be strong. And take it as it comes. God gives us what we can handle right? That’s what I was told. Have a lovely weekend and thank you 🙏

Pretty artworks and gorgeous photos! Beauty of nature can heal your heart, I think. I understand, keeping small kids engaged/entertained is challenging especially when they’re not going school. You’re a wonderful daughter. I’m sure you’ll manage well.
Yes, watching good movies is a stress buster. And good books, ah, they’re saviours. Stay well.

Hi Maria 🙂 Your watercolour is nice 🙂 Oh leaf rubbings! I’d completely forgotten about that, I should do some of that this year. Your walk looks so lovely and I hope that things go well with your dad. I can understand your stress, but everything will be okay, and it’s all meant to be right? 🙂 xx

Love these nature walk photos, and the lead rubbings you did with your girls – in the Distant Learning aide for my 9 year old Grands – this would be fun for them! And I lions your watercolor. Congrats on being featured in PPF!
