APRIL and MAY FAVOURITES! 2017

Happy Tuesday! I’m very happy to bring you my April & May Favourites and this will be the last favourites blog post for the time being. I’m very excited to share things that I’ve been madly in love with in April and continue to love in May. I will start with Netflix and TV.

I started watching Vampire Diaries on Netflix again. I just LOVE it so much. Obsessed with the show. I’m also really blown away by The Handmaid’s Tale on the BRAVO Channel. It’s a very powerful story and it was the first novel that I ever read in grade 9 from start to finish. Just warning it can be dark and disturbing. Currently i’m also watching Pretty Little Liars. So far it’s really intense. I’ll be so sad when it’s all over.

In April I had the loveliest opportunity to visit BITE Beauty Lab in Toronto. It was so much fun. I had the greatest experience with other beautiful bloggers. I loved the process and creating my own personalized lip colours and flavours was incredible fun.

I’ve been really loving AVON TRUE COLOUR Eyebrow pencil in Brunette. This pencil works so nicely and also blends smoothly. It is also the same colour as my eyebrows so it looks natural. Love it! Smooth, soft and creamy.

I love using this Burberry lip colour contour No.3 Medium as a primer and base to my nude lipsticks. It’s really lovely and feels so nice on the lips. I absolutely LOVE Marcelle Waterproof Gentle Make-up remover pads. They are perfect in every way. They take away my eye makeup so well and I can’t live without them. What I love about these is that they really eliminate the amount of rubbing around the eye area. I don’t even have to rub back and forth. I just place the pad on the eye for a minute and swipe the makeup away. Love them!

I highly recommend you check out Make Up For Ever HD pressed powder. My skin looks and feels really amazing when I use this powder. It takes away the shine. When I use this pressed powder my skin looks even. I Love it and highly recommend it. I love the results it gives and my makeup lasts longer.

The best highlighter I have ever used. Burberry’s Fresh Glow highlighter in Pink Pearl is beyond beautiful. I absolutely love it! What I love about it is that it isn’t glittery. Chanel’s New Summer Collection is perfection! Chanel never fails in anything they come out with. I really love how this powder makes my complexion look. This is the Healthy glow luminous colour in Light. It gives a beautiful glow to my face and warmth. Love the way it looks and feels. I love using this. Truly beautiful for the summer. Love the glow and warmth!

I’ve been really enjoying wearing Maybelline 830 Truffle Tease. Totally lovely! It is very creamy and moisturizing. A beautiful everyday nude colour.

One nail polish that I can’t stay away from is this beautiful light peachy colour by CHANEL. It’s the perfect summer colour. I love it and I use only one coat. It’s the 560 Coquilage. I absolultey love CHANEL’S Summer Collection. Have a look if you like.

I’ve been loving AVON makeup. Love the eyeshadow palette Havana Sol Mojitos by the sea and the blush called sun and sand. Truly beautiful and I love the amazing quality of AVON Mark makeup. Very lovely!

Skincare by AVON is incredible. The ANEW line is wonderful and I highly recommend this specific cream for neck and chest. This is the ANEW PLATINUM FIRM AND SCULPT CREAM for the neck and chest area. It is an anti-aging cream. I absolutely recommend you try this cream. It really works amazingly and I’m seeing fantastic results. It is very nourishing and hydrating. Love it! Get Summer Ready! I’ve been loving showering with Le Petit Marseillais. They smell so good, clean really well and leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Love these body washes and my favourite ones are the Orange Blossom and the Cotton Milk and Poppy.

I also must add a favourite post! I worked super hard for the COVERGIRL Post. if you like have a look. I really love the post because it challenged me with with three makeup looks and I feel the post was a great integrated piece with TV, Comic Books and Makeup. What do you think? Recent Favourites APRIL 2017

I can’t believe I haven’t shared my favourites with you since Christmas! What? I’m sorry but I’ve been so busy. Since there are so many goodies that I love I tried to narrow it down to give you the best of the best!

NETFLIX

I never thought that I would use the word OBSESSED over anything but seriously I’m Obsessed with RIVERDALE. Every since I can remember I’ve enjoyed reading Archie Comics and Riverdale is based off the Archie Comics Characters. Riverdale’s storyline includes issues like murder, bullying, backstabbing, trust and of course love.

I also watched and really liked 13 Reasons Why. A very dark and really powerful series. 13 Reasons Why is a very important series in my opinion. A lot of people don’t realize what students are faced with everyday in schools and we need to be more aware and involved with issues such as bullying, mental illness and depression.

The series deals with suicide, bullying and rape. The acting is very good and the characters very believable. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE OR ARE GOING THROUGH DEPRESSION OR HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, DO NOT WATCH. This is a very sensitive series and I’m warning you that it’s not for everyone. Also please talk to a parent or guidance counsellor if you are expering any bullying, depression and thoughts of hurting your self. Please talk to someone if you are feeling alone or can’t cope. There is help out there so please talk to someone.

I’ve also been enjoying Z Nation! A really amazing series about Zombies but super scary ones and not the kind you find in The Walking Dead. More like zombies on fast forward mode. Super fast ones and ten times uglier!

I really like the show BEYOND. I love the acting and the mystery. It’s very deep and believable. I can’t stand science fiction that has horrible acting but BEYOND is amazing! I am drawn into the show by Burkely Duffield’s acting and intensity. I also really love The Walking Dead. I’m upset that The Vampire Diaries has ended. I cried like a baby! Also the last season of Pretty Little Liars is going to start today. There are 10 episodes left and I’m so excited but sad at the same time. You can catch up to Pretty Little Liars on Netflix if you like.

Our family is enjoying watching Anne on CBC. People are hesitant when I tell them about this but I assure you this is an incredible version of Anne of Green Gables. The original is good but this version in my opinion is AMAZING! I really love the darkness and the cinematography. I love the way the camera is used in this series because it really highlights how Anne is feeling and what she’s been through. The series really captures how Anne’s past has effected her. Brilliant Series! Truly incredible and the acting is amazing! Totally recommend you watch Anne.

I’m very excited that BRAVO has announced that The Handmaid’s Tale written by Margaret Atwood will air in Canada exclusively! I’m so excited to see this Drama. I love Margaret Atwood and this is the first book that got me interested in reading novels so I’m looking forward to it.

Bravo announced today it has exclusively acquired one of 2017’s most anticipated dramas, the television adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s iconic The Handmaid’s Tale, in a deal with MGM Television. The 10-episode first season airs in Canada exclusively on Bravo, beginning with a special two-hour premiere event on Sunday, April 30 from 9 to 11 p.m. ET (10 p.m. – midnight PT). The one-hour drama continues to air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT, beginning May 7. The entire first season launches on CraveTV this spring, following the season finale on Bravo. -BRAVO

Books and Magazines

Last month I completed the Novel Himself by Jess Kidd and I also purchased a lovely magazine called Flow. I really enjoyed the book and I’ve written a review if you like to have a look, Himself by Jess Kidd REVIEW . I absolutely love the magazine Flow. It is so creative and artistic. It has so many activities you can do as an artist but also the articles are really wonderful and inspirational. I highly recommend you check it out. If you are into the Arts you will love Flow!

MAKEUP

I’ve been wearing and loving a lot of makeup recently. I’ve been loving my Lancôme Juicy shakers in the new flavours. They are sweet like candy! The three flavours that I adore are Snow-Tilly, Marshmattack and Cloudy Candy.

I’ve been obsessed with Annabelle Cosmetics eyeshadow chrome in Rose Gold. It’s so creamy soft and shines so beautifully! I absolutely love it! I also love Annabelle Cosmetics Skinny Eyeshadow Palette in Taupe Neutrals Basics. Im a huge fan of taupe colours and I absolutely adore the skinny palette. I have two blushes that I’m loving lately and one is Avon’s Mark Blush in the colour Mauve Forward and CHANEL’S Blush Harmony COCO CODE.

I also have a huge love for lip products recently. My favourite lip products have to be DIOR Lacquer Sticks in the colours 344 Rolling and 877 Turn Me Dior. I also absolutely love BURBERRY Liquid Lip Velvet in the colour No. 5 FAWN.

I have a huge love for AVON’s All Butter Lip Treat in the colour Bare All and Marcelle Cosmetics Rouge Xpression Velvet Gel Lipstick in the colour 885 Rosy Nude.

Two lovely nail polishes that I’ve been loving and wearing recently is AVON True Color in SMOKY PLUM and Sinful Colours 1052 ENDLESS BLUE (*inspired by 13 Reasons Why on Netflix)

I’be been really loving COCONUT CLUSTERS with Super Seeds. They are amazing in my yogourt and cereal. We buy them at Costco and they are so good! They have pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and chia seeds. They are so crunchy and delicious!

HAIR!

I got my hair cut! I know right? I go through times where I like change and I went short. I absolutely love short hair and its so fun to style and play with. I love long hair too but short hair is very fun. I decided to go to Trade Secrets at Scarborough Town Centre and I’m so pleased with the results. Love the customer service and I’m so happy I found a place where I can go again and again. It’s affordable and they do an amazing job.

My hair dresser’s name is Christine. She is fantastic! I brought Christine a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and she gave me her advice. I really love how she personalized my cut to suit me. Christine really took the time with me and I appreciate it so much. I’m so grateful and very happy with the service at Trade Secrets.

The last favourite for this blog post is AVON’s perfume PRIMA. I love this fragrance so much I’m like a cat and my Prima is my catnip! Seriously love this fragrance and I’ve been wearing this everyday. I also love the bottle so much. Very beautiful and the fragrance and design is inspired by ballet which I love so much!

April Favourites

Hello my lovely friends and readers! I hope you all had a lovely April! April was a busy month for me because we had three Birthdays! That’s a lot of C A K E! 😀

I wanted to share with you my favourite products for April. Some are late April but I still feel they belong in my favourites. I truly recommend everything! I feel each product is amazing and brilliant in its own way. So would you like to see my favourites? Introducing April Favourites!

Clinique Wear Everywhere Nudes Palette A64. This palette is really beautiful. The formula is creamy and smooth. Blends so beautiful and I’m really loving this palette.

On eyelid light shade of Starlight Star Bright Duo.
In the crease I used Matte New LTD Chocolate Bark.
Highlight under the eyebrow and inner corner of my eyes with soft shimmer new LTD alabaster.

PERFUME Michael Kors Sexy Rio De Janeiro ( I totally love this perfume!)

UV PROTECTOR Shiseido Tinted UV Protector SPF 43 for face, its oil free, Water Resistant. ( Very beautiful, light and the formula is perfection!)

LIPSTICK Elizabeth Arden lipstick Pink Pucker 46 ( Smells like vanilla! so lovely and for a matte lipstick it doesn’t feel dry at all!)

BLUSH Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour 08 Sweet Rose by Clarins (Creamy and beautiful! Love the packaging and I can’t stop using it!)

EYEBROW PENCIL Elizabeth Arden Brownette 03 ( Best eyebrow pencil I’ve used so far.)

LIP LINER Estée Lauder lip defining pencil in 10 Spice (Smooth and creamy. Easy application and love the colour.)

MASCARA Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara.( Gives volume and length without clumping. Long lasting and good for my sensitive eyes. Easy removal.)

NAIL POLISH Essie Ballet Slippers ( perfection)

Beauty Brushes from Ecotools, Real Techniques and BH cosmetics. (Love them all!)

BODY SCRUB Miracle 10 Body Polish Amazing body scrub. Will totally take off all dead skin. Leaves you feeling smooth and soft. Smells very fresh but not overpowering. Subtle. Very lovely and I totally recommend.

FACE OIL “hope is not enough” by philosophy omega 3-6-9 Replenishing Oil ( I LOVE THIS OIL! My skin drinks this up. It leaves my skin soft, soothed, calm and hydrated.)

CLEANSING MASK Natures Chemist 100% organic oil natural skincare gentle cleansing mask. ( Truly amazing Cleansing mask. Smells delicious and works really beautifully with my skin. The consistency is like honey because it is honey and other beautiful and organic ingredients. You can apply it on wet skin or use it as a mask on dry skin. It leaves skin feeling smooth, clean and soft. It’s organic and amazing!)

TONIC Odylique Calming Rose Super Tonic (Amazing Tonic! Smells like roses and its so amazing! It calmed my skin down and soothed it. I’m so sad I’ve finished this!)

FACE SCRUB Odylique Coconut Candy Scrub ( Truly a wonderful scrub. Its not harsh but just right. It smells like coconut and feels so so good on the skin. Leaves my skin feeling so nourished and hydrated. Really amazing. )

FACE MIST MIYU MIST The De Stress MI Beauty Essence for all skin types.

(Amazing face mist. Feels relaxing, refreshing and soothing. It smells really lovely and minty. Truly wonderful!)

MIYU De Stress MI Beauty TEA ( The tea is truly relaxing and indeed helps with stress. It calms me and soothes me. Truly lovely and I can get 4 cups from one teabag! I must say the packaging for MIYU is the best I’ve ever seen!)

Flexitol Heel Balm This balm has helped my chapped and dry heels so so much! I’ve been using this for only 4 days but I had to add it to my favourites because of how amazing this heel balm is! If you have chapped and cracked heels or dry feet you need to buy this and apply it twice a day. I usually cover my feet with socks after I apply the balm and my feet look so amazing now! It’s helping heal the big cracks I have on my heels. I’ve reviewed the Flexitol Heel Balm. Have a look if you like. FLEXITOL REVIEW

Estée Lauder lip defining pencil in “10 Spice”. Very creamy and soft on the lips. Applies very easily and glides on smoothly.

Elizabeth Arden “Brownette 03”. The perfect eyebrow pencil!

Odylique Coconut Candy Scrub. Smells so wonderful and feels so beautiful on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

Natures Chemist 100% Organic Oil Natural Skincare Gentle Cleansing Mask. It’s so beautiful and smells of honey. I really love this and the results are truly amazing! My skin has never felt like this before. Very nourishing, hydrating and balances my skin. Beautiful cleanser and mask. I love how its versatile.

Miracle 10 Body Polish is gentle and exfoliates really amazingly. It really leaves my skin feeling smooth and removes all the lifeless skin cells. It smells very fresh but its not overpowering. Really good body scrub.
