APRIL and MAY FAVOURITES! 2017

Happy Tuesday! I’m very happy to bring you my April & May Favourites and this will be the last favourites blog post for the time being. I’m very excited to share things that I’ve been madly in love with in April and continue to love in May. I will start with Netflix and TV.

I started watching Vampire Diaries on Netflix again. I just LOVE it so much. Obsessed with the show. I’m also really blown away by The Handmaid’s Tale on the BRAVO Channel. It’s a very powerful story and it was the first novel that I ever read in grade 9 from start to finish. Just warning it can be dark and disturbing. Currently i’m also watching Pretty Little Liars. So far it’s really intense. I’ll be so sad when it’s all over.

In April I had the loveliest opportunity to visit BITE Beauty Lab in Toronto. It was so much fun. I had the greatest experience with other beautiful bloggers. I loved the process and creating my own personalized lip colours and flavours was incredible fun.

I’ve been really loving AVON TRUE COLOUR Eyebrow pencil in Brunette. This pencil works so nicely and also blends smoothly. It is also the same colour as my eyebrows so it looks natural. Love it! Smooth, soft and creamy.

I love using this Burberry lip colour contour No.3 Medium as a primer and base to my nude lipsticks. It’s really lovely and feels so nice on the lips. I absolutely LOVE Marcelle Waterproof Gentle Make-up remover pads. They are perfect in every way. They take away my eye makeup so well and I can’t live without them. What I love about these is that they really eliminate the amount of rubbing around the eye area. I don’t even have to rub back and forth. I just place the pad on the eye for a minute and swipe the makeup away. Love them!

The best highlighter I have ever used. Burberry’s Fresh Glow highlighter in Pink Pearl is beyond beautiful. I absolutely love it! What I love about it is that it isn’t glittery. Chanel’s New Summer Collection is perfection! Chanel never fails in anything they come out with. I really love how this powder makes my complexion look. This is the Healthy glow luminous colour in Light. It gives a beautiful glow to my face and warmth. Love the way it looks and feels. I love using this. Truly beautiful for the summer. Love the glow and warmth!

I’ve been really enjoying wearing Maybelline 830 Truffle Tease. Totally lovely! It is very creamy and moisturizing. A beautiful everyday nude colour.

One nail polish that I can’t stay away from is this beautiful light peachy colour by CHANEL. It’s the perfect summer colour. I love it and I use only one coat. It’s the 560 Coquilage. I absolultey love CHANEL’S Summer Collection. Have a look if you like.

I’ve been loving AVON makeup. Love the eyeshadow palette Havana Sol Mojitos by the sea and the blush called sun and sand. Truly beautiful and I love the amazing quality of AVON Mark makeup. Very lovely!

Skincare by AVON is incredible. The ANEW line is wonderful and I highly recommend this specific cream for neck and chest. This is the ANEW PLATINUM FIRM AND SCULPT CREAM for the neck and chest area. It is an anti-aging cream. I absolutely recommend you try this cream. It really works amazingly and I’m seeing fantastic results. It is very nourishing and hydrating. Love it! Get Summer Ready! I’ve been loving showering with Le Petit Marseillais. They smell so good, clean really well and leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Love these body washes and my favourite ones are the Orange Blossom and the Cotton Milk and Poppy.

I also must add a favourite post! I worked super hard for the COVERGIRL Post. if you like have a look. I really love the post because it challenged me with with three makeup looks and I feel the post was a great integrated piece with TV, Comic Books and Makeup. What do you think? The Eyes Are The Window To Your Soul! AVON FEATURE

There are four things that I like to use to set my eyes up for perfect results. One, I really love using tweezers because cleaning up the eyebrows really frames the face. Also love to use mascara with AVON’s mascara applicator. This tool is ingenious! No more mascara on the eyelids that’s for sure! I love using my eyelash curler to give volume and curve to the lashes and of course I enjoy filling in my eyebrows with the brow definer. They say that “the eyes are the window to your soul…” It’s so true. I feel these eye essentials by AVON really help frame the face and give the eyes a beautiful depth.

AVON True Color Brow Definer

I really like these Eyebrow pencils. They are thin and work really nicely to give a natural eyebrow look. They are smooth and soft. They go on nicely. Intensified Colour that Lasts. Avon True Colour Glimmersticks Brow Definer. 0.28g $9.00

Look at the bling bling on these tweezers! They work amazing and I love them so much. Love the weight of these but I also love how well they work. So affordable too!

This tool is amazing! I absolutely love the mascara applicator. This really helps to avoid mascara getting on the upper eye lid and bottom of the eye. But I also love how you can use this to comb out the lashes as well. Super easy to use and very affordable. This Mascara Applicator is only $5.00.

I love a good mascara and i’m very pleased with Avon’s True colour Super Shock Volumizing Mascara. A wonderful formula that doesn’t dry the eyelashes and gives amazing volume as well. Avon’s True colour Super Shock Volumizing Mascara is 10ml and comes in Black and Brown Black. $10.00

This is the Eyelash Curler with a comb. It is stainless steel curler with PVC-Coated handle and plastic comb. It is 11cm L. and $8.00. It really makes a big difference to curl your lashes. Don’t you think? Do you curl them and then apply mascara? Or do you add mascara and then curl? Let me know in the comments below. I like to curl my eyelashes first and then apply the mascara. I might be doing it wrong though. Let me know.

Makeup Look

For this makeup look I used all the tools mentioned in this blog post and I also used AVON’s foundation and concealer. I applied the foundation with a beauty blender because I really love my foundation to be a light coverage. I love AVON’s foundation because It is really lightweight and feels like I have nothing on the skin. Absolutely love that it has SPF 20 to protect my skin from sun exposure. Truly amazing and love the concealer as well. A full review coming soon!

Next I have AVON’S nourishing lipsticks. These are infused with jojoba oil, vitamin E, collagen and lanolin. They keep the lips feeling conditioned and moisturized even after you take it off. I’ve seen brushes like this trending around in the makeup world. I’ve wanted to try these for the longest time, so I’ll be bringing you a video very soon. I’m going to test these out and see how they work. They feel super soft. These are ergonomic handles and silky, close-set bristles apply makeup just where you want it. The small circle brush can be used for lipstick and eyeshadow application. Also you can use it with concealer for under-eye and inner corner of the eye coverage. The Linear brush can be used for concealer, eyeshadow and brow setting powders. It is great for setting makeup in creases around the nose and eye. How exciting right? So excited! Are you ready to see his lovely selection of beautiful makeup?

Let me start with the Matte Eye Shadow Quad in Gilded Metallics. “I love the golden mix of shades in this palette. The rich colors look amazing on all skin tones and work just as perfectly for day as they do for night.” says Joffrey Dumas. I totally agree with him. These are stunning and beautiful colours. I adore them and they really bring something very special to the eyes. The formula is lovely and soft. They blend really nicely and are very pigmented.

Next pick is Eye Shadow Single in Midnight Sparkler. “Navy always looks great and this formula can be applied wet with an angled brush to the line the eyes or used dry as a shadow to add drama to an evening look. I like to apply it to the outer corner of the eyelid.” -Joffrey Dumas

I really love this eyeshadow especially for that dramatic look. Very lovely and pigmented. Applies even better when it is wet. Very soft, blends very nicely and is very smooth.

Next I have Glimmersticks waterproof eyeliner in Midnight Blue, “This liner has a beautiful texture and glides on beautifully. It works well to create smokey eye looks too. Here I have Beyond Color Lipstick SPF 15 in Truffle. I absolutely love this lipstick. The colour and formula is really amazing, hydrating and smooth. It feels lovely on the lips.

I’m absolutely loving Joffrey Duma’s Picks, everything is so beautiful. I love how the makeup can be used for a day look and then transform to a night look.
