I can’t believe I haven’t shared my favourites with you since Christmas! What? I’m sorry but I’ve been so busy. Since there are so many goodies that I love I tried to narrow it down to give you the best of the best!

NETFLIX

I never thought that I would use the word OBSESSED over anything but seriously I’m Obsessed with RIVERDALE. Every since I can remember I’ve enjoyed reading Archie Comics and Riverdale is based off the Archie Comics Characters. Riverdale’s storyline includes issues like murder, bullying, backstabbing, trust and of course love.

I also watched and really liked 13 Reasons Why. A very dark and really powerful series. 13 Reasons Why is a very important series in my opinion. A lot of people don’t realize what students are faced with everyday in schools and we need to be more aware and involved with issues such as bullying, mental illness and depression.

The series deals with suicide, bullying and rape. The acting is very good and the characters very believable. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE OR ARE GOING THROUGH DEPRESSION OR HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, DO NOT WATCH. This is a very sensitive series and I’m warning you that it’s not for everyone. Also please talk to a parent or guidance counsellor if you are expering any bullying, depression and thoughts of hurting your self. Please talk to someone if you are feeling alone or can’t cope. There is help out there so please talk to someone.

I’ve also been enjoying Z Nation! A really amazing series about Zombies but super scary ones and not the kind you find in The Walking Dead. More like zombies on fast forward mode. Super fast ones and ten times uglier!

I really like the show BEYOND. I love the acting and the mystery. It’s very deep and believable. I can’t stand science fiction that has horrible acting but BEYOND is amazing! I am drawn into the show by Burkely Duffield’s acting and intensity. I also really love The Walking Dead. I’m upset that The Vampire Diaries has ended. I cried like a baby! Also the last season of Pretty Little Liars is going to start today. There are 10 episodes left and I’m so excited but sad at the same time. You can catch up to Pretty Little Liars on Netflix if you like.

Our family is enjoying watching Anne on CBC. People are hesitant when I tell them about this but I assure you this is an incredible version of Anne of Green Gables. The original is good but this version in my opinion is AMAZING! I really love the darkness and the cinematography. I love the way the camera is used in this series because it really highlights how Anne is feeling and what she’s been through. The series really captures how Anne’s past has effected her. Brilliant Series! Truly incredible and the acting is amazing! Totally recommend you watch Anne.

I’m very excited that BRAVO has announced that The Handmaid’s Tale written by Margaret Atwood will air in Canada exclusively! I’m so excited to see this Drama. I love Margaret Atwood and this is the first book that got me interested in reading novels so I’m looking forward to it.

Bravo announced today it has exclusively acquired one of 2017’s most anticipated dramas, the television adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s iconic The Handmaid’s Tale, in a deal with MGM Television. The 10-episode first season airs in Canada exclusively on Bravo, beginning with a special two-hour premiere event on Sunday, April 30 from 9 to 11 p.m. ET (10 p.m. – midnight PT). The one-hour drama continues to air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT, beginning May 7. The entire first season launches on CraveTV this spring, following the season finale on Bravo. -BRAVO

Books and Magazines

Last month I completed the Novel Himself by Jess Kidd and I also purchased a lovely magazine called Flow. I really enjoyed the book and I’ve written a review if you like to have a look, Himself by Jess Kidd REVIEW . I absolutely love the magazine Flow. It is so creative and artistic. It has so many activities you can do as an artist but also the articles are really wonderful and inspirational. I highly recommend you check it out. If you are into the Arts you will love Flow!

MAKEUP

I’ve been wearing and loving a lot of makeup recently. I’ve been loving my Lancôme Juicy shakers in the new flavours. They are sweet like candy! The three flavours that I adore are Snow-Tilly, Marshmattack and Cloudy Candy.

I’ve been obsessed with Annabelle Cosmetics eyeshadow chrome in Rose Gold. It’s so creamy soft and shines so beautifully! I absolutely love it! I also love Annabelle Cosmetics Skinny Eyeshadow Palette in Taupe Neutrals Basics. Im a huge fan of taupe colours and I absolutely adore the skinny palette. I have two blushes that I’m loving lately and one is Avon’s Mark Blush in the colour Mauve Forward and CHANEL’S Blush Harmony COCO CODE.

I also have a huge love for lip products recently. My favourite lip products have to be DIOR Lacquer Sticks in the colours 344 Rolling and 877 Turn Me Dior. I also absolutely love BURBERRY Liquid Lip Velvet in the colour No. 5 FAWN.

I have a huge love for AVON’s All Butter Lip Treat in the colour Bare All and Marcelle Cosmetics Rouge Xpression Velvet Gel Lipstick in the colour 885 Rosy Nude.

Two lovely nail polishes that I’ve been loving and wearing recently is AVON True Color in SMOKY PLUM and Sinful Colours 1052 ENDLESS BLUE (*inspired by 13 Reasons Why on Netflix)

I’be been really loving COCONUT CLUSTERS with Super Seeds. They are amazing in my yogourt and cereal. We buy them at Costco and they are so good! They have pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and chia seeds. They are so crunchy and delicious!

HAIR!

I got my hair cut! I know right? I go through times where I like change and I went short. I absolutely love short hair and its so fun to style and play with. I love long hair too but short hair is very fun. I decided to go to Trade Secrets at Scarborough Town Centre and I’m so pleased with the results. Love the customer service and I’m so happy I found a place where I can go again and again. It’s affordable and they do an amazing job.

My hair dresser’s name is Christine. She is fantastic! I brought Christine a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and she gave me her advice. I really love how she personalized my cut to suit me. Christine really took the time with me and I appreciate it so much. I’m so grateful and very happy with the service at Trade Secrets.

The last favourite for this blog post is AVON’s perfume PRIMA. I love this fragrance so much I’m like a cat and my Prima is my catnip! Seriously love this fragrance and I’ve been wearing this everyday. I also love the bottle so much. Very beautiful and the fragrance and design is inspired by ballet which I love so much!

BURBERRY Liquid Lip Velvet – Feature

Today I’m featuring the new beautiful Burberry Liquid Lip Velvets. I have two that were kindly sent to me for review purposes and these beauties do not need a review. I’m just here to tell you that they are perfect in every way and that I’m absolutely and madly in love with the formula. I love everything about the lip velvets and want to share every detail with you.

The packaging is beautiful! It is frosted plastic and very elegant. I love that you can see the colour. The applicator is soft and bendable. It fits perfect on the lips and glides on so nicely and softly. The formula is perfect. It is smooth, velvety, soft and creamy. It goes on evenly and is very pigmented. The formula is long lasting, it doesn’t dry out the lips and is very soft and comfortable.

The two colours that I have are “05 Fawn” and “37 Regiment Red“.

Here are the swatches for both colours.

Here I’m wearing 37 Regiment Red. This is definitely a bold and beautiful colour. I love this for going out in the evening and parties. I love wearing this with only foundation and mascara. Nothing else. This colour is a show stopper.

Here I’m wearing “05 Fawn” I love this so much. It’s a rosy nude colour and I’ve been wearing this everyday. The formula is so hydrating also and I love it.

Burberry today launches Liquid Lip Velvet, a new statement-making matte cream lip colour with a campaign starring British model Iris Law and a series of innovations including Burberry’s first Beauty dedicated Tumblr page.

The Campaign

The new Liquid Lip Velvet campaign features Iris Law in her first ever global campaign and celebrates her role as the new global ambassador for Burberry Beauty. The campaign was shot in London by Angelo Pennetta. The track is ‘Faded’ by musician Clare Maguire.

Tumblr – As a first for the brand, Burberry will launch a Beauty dedicated Tumblr page to coincide with the launch of Liquid Lip Velvet. The Tumblr content hub will inspire and tell a unique campaign narrative which is presented as a moodboard with rich colour and texture stories. This will include exclusive imagery of Iris Law shot on the campaign set.

Pinterest – Burberry will host a series of ‘colour stories’ on Pinterest highlighting the hero colours from the Liquid Lip Velvet family. These stories will be hosted on individual boards allowing users to ’shop the edit’ by linking to Burberry.com. Users will be inspired with tips and tricks on how to apply the collection alongside ready to wear pairings.

Liquid Lip Velvet

Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet is a matte cream lip colour, which combines rich pigment with a comforting texture. It glides on the lips smoothly to create a bold velvet finish that lasts for up to eight hours.

BURBERRY Launches MY BURBERRY BLACK With Lily James! INFO

Today, Burberry launches My Burberry Black – the new parfum for women, inspired by the black Heritage Trench Coat – with a campaign starring British actress Lily James

The Campaign

The campaign was shot by photographer Mario Testino under the creative direction of Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey, and features Lily James in her first global advertising campaign.

‘I Put a Spell on You’ performed by British singer-songwriter Duffy, is the soundtrack to the campaign.

As a first for the brand, customers can watch the campaign unfold as Lily James takes over Burberry’s Snapchat channel today. The takeover will culminate with the reveal of the TV campaign across multiple platforms globally including Clear Channel’s One Piccadilly and Coventry House screens in Piccadilly, London.

The campaign launches today with a series of innovations, including:

In-store digital experience – in selected retailers, a multisensory experience triggered by interacting with a My Burberry bottle allows customers to discover the My Burberry scents and immerses them in the universe of My Burberry Eau de Parfum, My Burberry Eau de Toilette and My Burberry Black. Customers will also be able to create their own virtual monogrammed bottle.

The Fragrance

Created by Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey, working in collaboration with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, My Burberry Black bottles the sensual elements of a black Burberry trench coat against bare skin.

The fragrance fuses the scent of sun-drenched jasmine flower and peach nectar with a touch of rose. The signature rose note at the heart of My Burberry is given a sweet and inviting candied twist, while rich amber patchouli rounds off the scent for a deep and captivating finish.

My Burberry Black returns to a London garden amidst a gathering storm, heavy rain contrasting with the warm and captivating flora.
