Hello September! 2021

I can’t believe it’s September. How are you my friends? I hope you are taking good care of your selves and are keeping safe and healthy. As for me I’m healing nicely and I’m continuing my cancer Journey with a positive mindset. It is truly hard some days. But I’m staying positive.

Last weekend we went to Port Perry and had fish and chips and I bought a book from the local book shop. It was lovely to get out and forget about my worries!

It’s that time of the year when I start planning October posts. Fall is my favourite time of the year. Autumn makes me happy. Books make me happy. Food makes me happy. I love all the colours that change in Autumn. I love cooler weather and the delicious autumnal foods. Do you have a bucket list? What are your favourite Fall things to do and see? Here is my bucket lists from previous years. I hope you try some of these out.

I will probably try to do a couple of blog posts but I don’t have time to do one for every day in October. I wish I could. 🎃 🍁

Health: I am doing well my friends. I’m continuing my radiation. I have 16 more to do. I am also continuing Herceptin. I’m feeling good and I just have a few aches and pains but I’m healing nicely. Radiation side effects don’t show up until two weeks later so I’ll keep you posted. I’m vlogging my radiation journey on my YouTube channel. If you like please subscribe. My hair is growing back but very very slowly.

Dear September…

My heart is open

Full of emotions

A little anxious and worried

Online learning

Everything is different

All around us

Nothing is the same anymore

Masks and distancing

Fear and Government

2020 is a real mess

I’m wondering who and why

Have we forgotten where this started and why?

Who’s to blame for the downfall of humanity?

Many lives lost

Many loose their jobs and homes

Is this all about control, money and power?

God I hate politics and the men that run this shit show.

Nothing will be the same anymore

Or maybe it will be okay?

This is affecting people in more than one way

Mental Health is a huge issue as well.

I truly pray and hope that things will be okay.
I’m trying to stay hopeful and positive…trying.

“I am a detective, I am a decipherer, and I am a finder of lost souls. My life is my own. And the future is up to us.” – Enola Holmes

The character Enola Holmes believes that our future is up to us. I don’t know why but this brings tears to my eyes. Is our future up to us? I hope we can be free again to travel, to go to places, to hug one another. I hope that we can one day get together again without having fear.

Travelled to Stratford Ontario

A busy little place full of commotion and life.

Social distancing in effect. Every shop had hand sanitizer and everyone wore masks.

I took these pictures of less crowded areas but the place was busy as can be.

Great book stores and the river is beautiful. It wasn’t quiet that’s for sure.

I kindly received beautiful *Gifted items in September.

Thank you to PIXI Beauty and AVON.CA

New Sateen Dreams Glimmershadows. They are so pretty and easy to use. FMG Glimmershadow Liquid eyeshadow Buildable Silky Cream Formula glides on effortlessly for a soft, subtle sheen that lasts all day. Water-resistant Crease/smudge-proof, Paraben/Phtalate sulphate free. 2ml $14.00 Avon.ca

Pixi Beauty eyeshadow palettes and blush quads are so stunning! The quads have two blushes, a bronzer and highlight. I love to mix them up and use a bit for eyeshadow sometime and even add the bronzer in the blush for a darker tone. No rules here. Freedom to mix and do what you like. I love these colours for Autumn. So beautiful!

Top left Hazelnut Haze has beautiful warm colours of cream, gold, neutral, bark, sage, bronze, russet, copper and deep.

Top Right Rosette Ray has pretty sweet pink colours like, French Rose, Ice, Glow, Plum, Mocha, Wine, Berry Mushroom, black Tulip.

Bottom Left Blush Honey Nectar has beautiful warm tones of Nectar, Honey, Syrup and Ambrosia.

Bottom Right is Sugar Honey that has a pop of Blossom, Sugar, Rosewood and Petal.

Thank you so much for reading my post. I have a few blog posts planned and scheduled for October. I hope you enjoy them. I truly hope that you have a beautiful Autumn. Thank you so much for all your support and love.

Hello September! 🍂 🍁 🍃

Dear Sunflower,

I thought you wouldn’t make it but here you are, opening up your petals and facing the sun. I admire your beauty and elegance.

Sunflower opened its petals
one day to another
facing the sun with love.

I’ve been in a creative mode. Trying to keep busy and creative this month. I’m trying to write as many posts that I can for October. It’s challenging but fun. I’ve been reading, writing and drawing. I’ve been enjoying writing in my journal with a new fountain pen! It’s a lovely gift from my husband and I love it so much. ❤️ We went on a couple of road trips in Ontario. First stop was in Perth.

Perth, Ontario 2020

Perth is a lovely little place and I recommend visiting in the Fall. 🍁 A cute little town with a beautiful park and river and shops. Also really cute Book Stores and a huge vintage shop. I only went for the day and I wish I had stayed for the weekend. A lovely place and the park is so stunning.

I also visited The Big Apple in Colborne Ontario and bought incredible pies and apple bread. We bought pecan pie, apple caramel crumble pie, apple maple pie and apple bread. So delicious! The best pies that I’ve ever tasted. I recommend you go first thing when they open because it gets very very busy at lunch.

I’ve also visited a couple of Vintage shops. Vintage shops make me happy. It’s like an adventure and traveling back in time. One vintage shop in Perth Ontario and the other in Colborne Ontario. If you walk into a small town vintage shop you can tell a lot about the History of the town. Very beautiful in my opinion. So many stories in each piece. In the Perth vintage shop I found this lovely candle stick holder. I was looking for something like this and there it was!

When I was in Colborne Ontario I visited a vintage shop and found a very old book that’s a childhood favourite: Heidi by Johanna Spyri. The cover of the book has fallen off and the book is very fragile. I opened up the book to a random page and this is where it landed…

Sometimes things happen for a reason. I believe it. ❤️ Everything in good time.

The book broke from the spine and broke in half to pg.112-113. The passage speaks to me in so many ways. ❤️ I believe that this is a sign from the Universe. Do you believe in Signs?

I won a bunch of books and popcorn last month. I’m so grateful! The popcorn 🍿 didn’t last long. 😋 Thank you to @bookbrunch and @eatableinc on Instagram for the lovely books and popcorn.

I kindly won the book Heatwave written by Kate Riordan from @ohthebooksshewillread & @GrandcentralPub. Also about 7 weeks ago I won The Lions Den written by Katherine St. John from Jennifer Bairos on IG @jennbairos. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all these lovely book loving people for the wins. I’m truly blessed and lucky. Thank you.

I bought new reading glasses. They are my favourite. I like a big frame. They are simple and lovely. I do have to go back and have them adjust my prescription though. They made them too strong and I get really bad migraines.

Thank you all so much for reading my post. I hope you have a beautiful September and I wish you all the best. Positivity, kindness and love. God bless!

Dear September…

You brought cooler temperatures and sweater weather. It’s been so lovely to start fall festivities early. The more the better really. I was so nervous for my girls to start school but they have done so well with all the changes. We have our challenges and are trying to get through them one day at a time.

The trees have already started to change colours. Bees and butterflies flying all around. Now that my girls are back in school I’ve enjoyed some alone time, quiet and stillness.

My emotions have been high in September. A lot of feelings and sensitivities on a high. I’ve been busy washing clothing, cleaning floors and dishes. Making lunches and dinners and after school snacks for the girls.

Dear September, I longed for the weekends and spent time with my girls and hubby and it was a blessing not to rush anywhere. Visited our favourite park and walked along the paths filled with flowers and beautiful sunflowers and daisies. I’m so grateful for each day.

September brought me emotions, stress and a little sadness. I was able to filter all these feelings with art. I also enjoyed some time writing blog posts and gathering my thoughts.

Really enjoyed building a fire and roasting marshmallows in September. It was a lot of fun.

September thank you for each moment. Even though I had challenges I’m grateful for everything.

May my September worries, stress and sadness fly away and may October bring happy moments that are beautiful and magical and anxiety free.

September Gratitude

Dear September, thank you for all the little special details in my life. I like to look at small things and truly appreciate them.  I really appreciate even the silence that comes my way.  Some people don’t like silence but I really appreciate it. It’s soothing.

I’m a huge collector of Fall magazines. I love them so much. Do you like magazines? I enjoy the articles, pictures and recipes. I love to feel the pages in my hand rather then digital magazines. How about you?

Magazines from Home Depot.

I’m staying hydrated. Very important with the weather changing. I love this water bottle. This is my daughter’s water bottle. We bought this from Kitchen Stuff Plus. (My daughter dropped it and the lid broke. Unfortunately.)  Sometimes things happen. It’s okay. Moving forward.
