Lentil Soup – Recipe

Yet another cozy soup for the cold weather. I love soups and I’m obsessed with creating my own soup recipes. This one is hardy and delicious.

Ingredients 

10 Cups of water

2 1/4 cups of Green Lentils (I always go through the lentils just incase there are little unwanted rocks and I also wash them.)

4 Chopped Cloves of Garlic

1 Chicken Cube

1 tsp parsley

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

2 all spice balls

1 cup chopped carrots

1 cup chopped celery

1 tsp dry basil

1/4 cup of olive oil

2 tbs tomato paste


Instructions

Add all ingredients except tomato paste to a pot. Boil for 20 min then add 2 tbs of tomato paste and cook for another 10 min.

Today I feel like having a lovely refreshing boost Juice! I have a juicer that I’ve had for many years and I use it once and a while. I love juicing and drinking down refreshing fruits and veggies. I just don’t like the clean up. lol But this is definitely a refreshing and citrusy juice that really boosts energy and is very nutritious and beneficial to the mind and body.

INGREDIENTS

1 Orange

1 apple (Ginger Golden)

1tsp Ginger

1/2 Cup Kayle

1 Mint Leaf

1 tsp Lemon

1 Carrot

Orange

Boosts Immune system, source of fibre, improves blood circulation, blood pressure regulation, reduces inflammation, prevents cancer, prevention of kidney stones, improves cholesterol.

Apples

Antioxidant, flavonoids, and dietary fiber. The nutrients help reduce risk of cancer, hypertension, diabetes and heart disease.

Kale

Vitamin A, C and K. Folate, a B vitamin key for brain development. Alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid.

Carrot

Beta-carotene, fiber, vitamin K, potassium and antioxidants. Carrots lower cholesterols levels and improve eye health.
