Pixi Skintreats Vitamin-C Skincare Review

I kindly received Pixi Skintreats Vitamin C skincare line as PR Samples and I wanted to share my thoughts with you. I’ve been using these five products for a month now and I feel I have gotten to know them very well. I can say that this is my favourite Pixi skincare line so far. I love the other ones as well but really love how these five make my skin look and feel.

All Pixi Skintreats products are paraben free, vegan, gluten-free, phthalate free. The Vitamin-C skincare line has anti-oxidant clarifying properties and beautiful ingredients such as refreshing orange blossom and grapefruit. Boost of energy and they smell so good!

Pixi Skintreats Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser with Orange Flower water is a really lovely cleanser that feels so nice on the skin. It cleans the skin really well and leaves it feeling so refreshed. The formula smells so good. I love the pump on the packaging. Very easy to use with a cotton round. I brought this with me in my summer travels and really loved using this to clean my skin in the morning and evening. Easy to use and very effective.

Pixi Skintreats Vitamin-C Tonic is so wonderful. It has vitamin ferulic acid and brightens the complexion. This toner helps promote collagen and promotes luminosity. It gently exfoliates and is alcohol free.

Pixi Skintreats Vitamin-C Lotion is a brightening moisturizer. It smells so delightful and feels so incredible on the skin. I really love how super moisturizing the formula is and it really makes the skin illuminate. This is one product that I would instantly repurchase.

Pixi Skintreats Vitamin-C Serum is a brightening concentrate and it feels very light on the skin. I apply a few drops on my hands and press it on to my face gently. This serum’s formula is brightening and antioxidant and it helps with the effects of sun damage.

Last but not least the Vitamin-C Caviar Balm a brightening leave -on Mask that is a hydration boost to the max! Really amazing and I apply this at night and sleep with it on. Very soothing, hydrating and leaves the skin feeling like silk. So incredible!

Bon Voyage! Pixi Beauty Rose Infused Skincare Favourites

I was thinking of traveling the other day and then a lovely package arrived. A beautiful Travel Bag from Pixi Beauty with skincare products that smell and feel oh so good! I tried them all for you so I can tell you all about them. Rose is one of my favourite scents and this Rose Collection is so beautiful, gentle and very hydrating. Pixi Beauty does not test on animals and is also Paraben Free.

The travel bag is personalized with my name on it making me feel oh so happy inside. The bag is really pretty and pink and has rose print all over it. It is plastic and easy to clean if something spills. It has two big clear pockets with strong zippers and also a smaller pocket with a hook to hang. I absolutely love it and I will be using it when I travel. Which I feel it will be very soon.

The Rose-infused Skintreats Travels bag includes the following:

Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths. These are so lovely and soft and take off all makeup. They have chamomile & Rose. 10x Makeup Removing cloths. These are so hydrating and soothing.
Rose Cream Cleanser. Its super creamy, soft and gentle. It really nourishes the skin it helps strengthen and soften. There is Rose, avocado, chamomile and aloe vera in the formula.
Rose Tonic. I really love original Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic but this Rose Tonic is so nourishing and has Elderflower in it. It smells so lovely and really soothes my skin. It really hydrates, replenishes and refreshes my skin.
Rose Caviar Essence. This Rose Caviar really really pleases me. First I love the clear packaging. You can see lovely bubbles and particles in the tube. I LOVE IT! It smells amazing like everything else in this beautiful travel bag. This is a very special product. I love how soothing and cool it is on the skin. This Serum has flower oils and is weightless. It really sinks into the skin so nicely and feels good. The formula comes out like a gel and then sinks in the skin right away. It is not sticky or oily. The formula consists of Rose and grape seed oil. It also has anise extract and mulberry extract.
Rose Flash Balm. This is an instant skin booster! The formula consists of rose water, rose extract and olive leaf extract. The ingredients really balance the skin and are antioxidant rich. They help minimize redness and so the the skin. My skin is always tired so this is the perfect pick-me-up. It really helps with fatigued looking skin. You can also use this as a primer and a mask!
Rose Ceramide Cream. Intense Moisturizer that is infused with rose flower oil, and rosemary oil. This ultra rich moisture cream nourishes and restores. It has Ceramide NP which provides time-release moisture. Probiotics which protects and balances. This formula will help with the skin’s elasticity and lock in intense moisture while it helps protect the skin from environmental toxins. It really helps quench the skin leaving it so much healthier, supple and smooth.
Rose Oil Blend. A beautiful oil that helps the skin stay youthful and helps protect, nourish and strengthen the skin. It really rejuvenates and helps with elasticity. Really helps my skin look more luminous and plump. I use this AM & PM. I use only 2 to 3 Drops after I tone my skin and sometimes in my moisturizer before applying. The formula consists of Rose oil, pomegranate oil, rose geranium oil.
Makeup Fixing Mist. This makeup setting spray has rose water and green tea. Prolongs makeup wear and helps makeup not melt or settle in to fine lines. It also freshens up a makeup look. It helps hydrate and balance the skin.
Rose Glow Mist. This dual elixir is packed with essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It gives the skin a really lovely glow, it moisturizes and helps with elasticity. It provides free radical protection. This can be used before makeup, after makeup and anytime. Before makeup it really helps calm the skin, create more moisture and smooth the skin. After makeup it helps set makeup and give a dewy finish. Using this anytime will offer moisture, refresh and plump skin.

WINTER MUST-HAVES

It’s never too early to shop for winter. Especially items that will keep you cozy and warm. I’m so excited to share my favourite Winter Must-Haves. I hope you love them as much as I do.

A huge part of my Winter routine includes a lot of creams and oils. I always apply oil on my skin and hair because everything gets dry. I’ve been really loving Indeed Laboratories lightweight facial oil and Indeed Laboratories Nanoblur colour corrector. These two really hydrate my skin and lock in essential moisture. The Facial oil is derived from 100% sugarcane. It really reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and has improved my skins moisture balance. The colour corrector neutralizes pigment and works by helping reduce redness while locking in moisture. This formula really makes my skin feel smooth and velvety.

I really love using *Flexitol Very Dry Skin Cream for my legs, elbows and hands. I really love this formula and I apply it day and night. Really helps lock in the moisture and doesn’t let my skin get dry at all. No more itchy dry skin!

Top 10 Ways to BEST DAY your Skin!

I’m here to share my Top 10 ways to BEST DAY YOUR SKIN! Do you want to help your skin look and feel better? I hope this post will help you do just that. The number one thing for me is drinking water. Always stay hydrated. The biggest part of our body is the epidermis and it’s important to keep it moisturized and healthy.

I know everyone has different skin concerns therefore choose products that have specific solutions for your needs. Oily skin needs different products then dry skin. It could be fine lines, hydration, age spots, sun damage, big pores, acne or rosacea. You can have multiple concerns. The products and tips posted in this post work best for my skin.

I have normal to combination skin. I also have fine lines, sun damage and my skin needs hydration. I love to use cream products in the winter and use light/gel products in the summer. I follow this skincare routine morning and night and I also apply Sunscreen with a high UVA-UVB protection everyday. My two favourite sunscreens are CLARINS UV 50 Multi-Protection and Garnier Obrelle 60 for the face. Do you have a favourite sunscreen for the face? Please let me know in the comments. Face products are different then body skincare. This post is for the face, under eyes and neck.

TEN STEPS TO BEST DAY YOUR SKIN!

1. Drink Water

It’s important to stay hydrated. I make sure to drink lots of water and it doesn’t have to be boring. It can be infused water with fruits and herbs. Like mint and lemon. Orange and strawberries. You can also have tea, juice and coffee. Have fun with it and drink up!

2. Exfoliate/ Clean the Skin

I’ve been using and enjoying idc exfoliating cream and Marcelle Gentle Exfoliating cream. Both these products can be purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart. I also love Marcelle gentle face cleanser which I’ve finished and need to buy another one. It’s so gentle and does the job right.

3. Tone

I like to use toner. It feels like it makes my skin look and feel good. I really love pixi glow Tonic. I use a cotton pad and apply it to the pad and gently sweep it from the centre of my face upwards. I feel that pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic makes my skin really glow and feel good.

4. Serum

My favourite thing to do after I tone my skin is apply serum and let it soak in for five to ten minutes. I’ve been using the Dior serums and I really love them. I also finished and adore the No7 Serum and the CLARINS Hydra essential Serum. I feel serums are super important and give the skin the detail attention it needs. My skin’s needs are always hydration, fine lines, age spots and sun damage. Every product caters to different needs so get to know what you need for your skin.

5. Face Cream

It is important for my skin to stay hydrated all day. First thing in the morning I make sure I apply a sunscreen to protect my skin from the the UV rays. If my face cream doesn’t have protection I apply it separately. I also look for a cream that has age defying properties. My favourite cream at the moment is DIOR Capture Youth cream. I also use and love No7, ANEW Cream by AVON, CLARINS Hydra Essential, IDC and NIVEA Cream.

6. Under Eye and Neck Cream

The skin under our eyes is different from the face. It is more delicate therefore needs a light but effective cream. It’s important to get a separate cream for under the eyes and neck. My two favourite under eye creams are the ANEW Eye lift dual system and CHANEL Blue Serum Eye. I also used up my Clinique eye gel and I absolutely loved it!

I love the FIRM AND SCULPT for the neck and chest by AVON. It’s the ANEW PLATINUM CREAM. Very hydrating and great results!

7. Face Oil

I’m a big fan of face oil. I apply the oil right before bed because I find it really hydrates my skin. It doesn’t clog my pores at all. I wake up with my skin so soft and silky. My favourite skin oils are No7 Youthful Face and CLARINS Orchid oil which I’ve finished.

8. Face Masks

Face masks are super hydrating and relaxing. They can help detox and clean the skin as well. I use them two times a week. It’s a MUST in my skincare routine. Sometimes it’s a wet to dry face mask, an overnight face mask and sometimes a sheet mask. Here are some fantastic choices: AVON Beauty boost helps detox, Avon sheet masks helps hydrate and brighten. I love Dior one minute mask because it is silky and makes my skin supple and soft. One really soothing and hydrating face mask is KORRES Wild Rose. Absolutely amazing and it is gentle and soothing. A must try!

The CHANEL LE LIFT Overnight Face mask is also incredible. I’m almost finished it and highly recommend it.

Another favourite is the GARNIER SkinActive. Goes on wet and dries nicely. It can be used as a mask and cleanser. It gives a lovely cooling effect and I love how it deep cleans and leaves my skin feeling so good and refreshed.

9. Eat Good Fats & Vitamins

Food can really help our hair and skin. Good Fats like nuts, seeds and fish are very good for the complexion. Also take your multivitamins.

10. Sleep

Getting enough sleep can really help your overall health and skin.

I hope my ten steps help you out. I would love to know what your skincare routine is like. I really enjoy trying different skincare products. I feel it’s important to try new products and give your skin a change. Some skincare might work for you and some might not.

If you do not see results after you finish a product then why continue using it? Also remember to ask if you don’t know enough about your skin. I feel it’s important to get to know your skin and give it what it needs so you can look and feel better.
